Lori is executive vice president and a member of the firm’s senior leadership team, where she is responsible for managing Caliber’s public relations services and social media activities.
For thirteen years, Lori owned a full-service marketing communications, advertising and public relations agency in Waterloo, Iowa. Lori served as president and new business development manager for her agency, where she worked with leading Fortune 500 accounts including Pella Windows, U.S. Cellular and Tyson Foods.
Most recently, Lori served as chief marketing officer for Barmuda Companies in Cedar Falls, Iowa. At Barmuda, Lori managed strategic marketing, public relations and social media for the company’s eighteen different restaurant/nightclub/lounge/event center concepts in the region.
Lori was a pivotal member of the management team and strategic marketing team that opened six different restaurants, nightclubs and lounges in the valley. Lori’s specialty lay in developing programs that successfully introduced new restaurants to the marketplace. Her most successful program includes the development of a customer loyalty and traffic-building program which maintains over 14,000 members.
Before joining Barmuda, Lori served as new business manager for the local marketing and public relations division of Mudd Advertising, where she was responsible for developing new marketing concepts for local and national accounts.
Lori began her career as a radio announcer for a local station in Iowa. There she gained experience in a variety of positions including copywriter, sales associate, manager, and eventually as owner of a local radio station and cable production company. Lori has served in several community board positions, including past president of the Cedar Valley Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, Lori has provided small business and marketing consulting to entrepreneurs at the University of Northern Iowa–Regional Business Center.
